Chip — Dachshund Studio Portrait Session at Bentwaters
Chip came in for a studio portrait session at my Bentwaters studio. He’s a dachshund with an easy-going nature — settled into the space quickly and got on with things.
The Session
Sessions with calm dogs tend to run well. There’s time to try different things, adjust the light, and work through a range of setups rather than racing to get something before the dog loses patience. Chip was that kind of subject — present and cooperative without being passive.
That combination is actually harder to find than you might expect. Plenty of dogs are either too wound up to work with properly, or so passive they look absent in the frame. Chip sat comfortably in between.
The Portraits
The portraits came out clearly with good expression throughout. There’s a range of images from the session that give a proper sense of him.
