Sausage dog portraits, made for your wall

I’m Bob Foyers and I photograph sausage dogs. Long-haired, smooth, wire-haired, miniature, standard, dignified or daft. I’ve photographed thousands of dachshunds since I started volunteering at the Southwold Sausage Dog Walk, and I still haven’t met two the same.

A studio session at my Rendlesham studio costs £80. After the shoot you choose your favourite images from a private online gallery, and whatever you order, wall art, prints or digital files, is separate and entirely up to you. I’ll help you turn the best of them into something that does your dog justice.

Made to hang, not to sit on a hard drive

Most dog photos live on a phone. The best ones deserve better.

Everything I photograph is made with print in mind, lit properly on a clean background so it will print as large as you like. You can order framed prints, canvases, metal and acrylic pieces, and archival paper prints in sizes from a small frame on the mantelpiece to something that fills a chimney breast. Wall art starts from £132, and digital files are available too if you want them.

How a session works

Step 1

Book your session

The session fee is £80, non-refundable, and covers the shoot itself. Anything you order afterwards is separate.

Step 2

Come to the studio

Allow around an hour at my studio at Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, though the slot is held for up to four, so nothing gets cut short if your dog needs longer to settle. Treats and squeaky toys are welcome. So are nervous dogs; we go at their pace.

Step 3

Choose from your gallery

A few days later you get a private online gallery of professionally edited images. Pick the ones you love.

Step 4

Hang them up

Your chosen images arrive as finished wall art or prints, ready to go straight on the wall.

No hard sell

You choose what you order from the gallery, and that’s it. If one framed print is right for you, one framed print is what you buy. I’d rather you had a single piece you look at every day than a bundle you felt talked into.
