Tuppence — Dachshund Studio Portrait at Bentwaters

Tuppence came in for a portrait session at my Bentwaters studio. A miniature dachshund with the kind of steady temperament that makes studio work straightforward — calm enough to hold a pose, engaged enough to give you something to work with.

The Session

Tuppence took to the studio well. Some dogs need a good fifteen minutes just to stop sniffing every corner before you can get anything usable. Tuppence wasn’t one of them. We were into the session properly within a few minutes, which gave us time to work through a range of setups and lighting without feeling rushed.

The light from the studio windows complemented the coat well, and the solid background let the dog’s features come through cleanly without distraction.

The Portraits

The finished portraits are exactly what a studio session at this scale should deliver — proper images, properly lit, of a dog with genuine character. A good set to have.
