Lexie — Dachshund Studio Portrait at Bentwaters
Lexie came in for a studio portrait session at my Bentwaters studio. A dachshund with a watchful quality about her — the type who takes everything in carefully before deciding how she feels about it.
The Session
Lexie was considered in the studio. She didn’t rush into anything, which actually worked in our favour — dogs who take their time tend to hold themselves well once they’ve decided they’re comfortable, and that’s exactly what happened here. Once she’d settled, she was a pleasure to work with.
We worked through different setups, using natural light alongside the studio lighting to get a range of looks. Lexie’s colouring responded well to the softer setups, so we spent some time there before moving through the rest.
The Portraits
The finished portraits capture Lexie’s character well — that slightly serious, self-possessed look that dachshunds do so well. A solid set of images from the session.
