Dottie came in for a studio portrait session at Bentwaters. A dachshund with a warm, easygoing nature — the type who walks into a new space and treats it like home within minutes.
The Session
Dottie settled quickly and was comfortable in the studio from early on. That ease in front of the camera gives you more to work with — when a dog is relaxed, their personality comes through in the images rather than just nerves. Dottie had plenty of personality to offer.
We took our time moving through different setups and worked with both the studio lighting and the natural light from the windows. Dottie held her positions well and was patient throughout, which made the session run smoothly.
The Portraits
The finished portraits capture Dottie’s character well. A dachshund with that kind of natural ease in front of the camera is always good to work with, and the images reflect that.
